GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB No.5/6/05-3HBIII/ 1907 Dated 20-5-05 SUBJECT: CORREGENDUM-PMET-2005 NOTIFICATION. In-partial modification of the Punjab Govt. notification No. 5/6/05-3HB III/1515 dated 25th April 2005 the Governor of Punjab is pleased to issue the following amendments:- Para 6.3 (i) The word/phrase NRI shall stand replaced as ‘NRI/children/wards of NRI’’ Under para 9 after sub para (c) the following para (d) shall be added as follows:- (d) “The fee structure given above for private institutes for the academic session 2005-06 shall be provisional as decided by the Fee Fixation Committee. Any adjustments which may be needed shall be made by the institute concerned on receipt of final order of the Committee. The Committee is likely to give its final decision based on the judgment of seven judge bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India before which this matter is pending” Para 10 (h) shall stand replaced as under:- “The inter se ranking for admission under the sports category shall be based on the sports grade determined by the Directorate of Sports, Punjab for the sports achievement made by the candidate during the year in which candidate passed 10+1 and 10+2 classes”. Under para 10 after sub para (k) following para (l) shall stand inserted:- (l). The left over seats of management quota in Ayurvedic, Homoeopathic and Dental Colleges shall be transferred to the management quota if any candidate having qualified in PMET -2005 is not available after the counseling. The University shall send the list of all those candidates, who have appeared in PMET 2005 and who at 10+2 level have secured 50% marks (40% for SC/BC) in PCB subjects and have passed in English also. Their merit shall be determined on the ` priority and if such candidates also are not available then the management shall be free to admit other eligible candidates on the basis of 10+2 examination. But no admission shall be made after 30.09.2005, under any circumstances, what so ever and the list of the admitted candidates shall be sent to the University, Director, Research & Medical Education, Punjab and the Secretary, Govt. of Punjab, Department of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh.
