Subject: Corrigendum-VI in regard to Admissions to General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) & Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) Training Course – 2004.

1. This is in continuation of letter No.2/90/04-6HBIII/3617, dated 5/7/2004 and corrigendum issued vide letter No.2/90/04-6HB-III/ 4173-77(Corrigendum I), dated 25/7/2004, No.2/90/04-6HB-III/4467 dated 11/8/2004 (Corrigendum-II) and No. 2/90/04-6HBIII/5224, dated 3/9/2004 (Corrigendum III ) No.2/90/04-6HBIII/ 5410 dated 10/9/2004(Corrigendum IV) and No.2/90/04-6HBIII/ 6238 dated 21/10/2004 (Corrigendum V).

2. The following amendments are made in the Notification through this corrigendum:
(1) Para 7- INSTITUTIONS AND SEATS – The following more institutions have been permitted admissions for the GNM Course (Para 7(a) will stand modified accordingly.)
(A) The following institutions have Government No Objection Certificate ( NOC ), Affiliation from Punjab Nurses Registration Council ( PNRC ) and Feasibility Certificate from the Indian Nursing Council ( INC )and they have permitted admissions without any conditions-

(B) The following institutions have No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the government, affiliation from Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC) but not the Feasibility Certificate from the Indian Nursing Council (INC). They have been permitted to make admissions with the condition that they would arrange Feasibility Certificate from the Indian Nursing Council by 31/12/2004l and till then they would not claim affiliation with Indian Nursing Council.

(D) The seats of the following institutions were reduced by 5/10/15 on account of non construction of building by them even after 1/2/3 or more years of operation. These institutions are operating from rented buildings. The institutions had represented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister for granting them time till the next academic session for construction of building and for restoration of seats. The Hon’ble Chief Minister vide order dated 27/10/2004 has granted them relaxation till the next academic year. The seats in the following institutions are therefore restored as mentioned below with the condition that – (i) they would construct the building both of the institute and hostel on 2 acres of land owned by them and the building for ANM would be constructed on a separate 2 acre land, (ii) they would complete the building before issue of the notification for the next year i.e. they would complete the building by 31/5/2005, (iii) no institution would be allowed to operate in rented buildings from the academic year 2005-06 and (iv) all the institutions would complete other formalities and remedy all the deficiencies failing which they would be excluded from the next year notifications and denied admissions. The institutions and the restores seats are :
