Subject:     Provisional Fee Structure for Medical Institutions for the Academic year 2004-05.

1.              As you are aware the State Government appointed Fee Fixation Committee only on 27/5/2004 and fee structure of private medical institutions has not been approved. The State Government accordingly had no choice but to provide provisional fee structure in the various notifications issued by it for admission in medical institutions. There is doubt in some quarters about the fee to be charged at the time of admission.
 

                 This issue was placed before the Fee Fixation Committee in its meeting held on 1/7/2004 (Proceedings of which are enclosed herewith) and it was decided that the medical institutions would charge the provisional fee as stipulated in the Government notification at the time of admission.  They can however take an affidavit from the students at the time of admission that they would undertake to pay the final fee as determined by the Fee Fixation Committee.
 

2                Kindly circulate the decision of the Fee Fixation Committee to all the private medical institutions mentioned in our notifications immediately.
