Subject:  Fee Fixation for Admissions for Private Medical Institutions in Chandigarh.

The Chandigarh Administration at page/1 has decided that the fees of private medical institutions in Chandigarh will also be got fixed from the Fee Fixation Committee constituted for the State of Punjab.  We received two applications from Homoepathic College and Hospital, Sector 26, Chandigarh (CP/2)and Shri Dhanwantry Education Society (Regd.), Sector 46-B, Chandigarh (CP/7).  The Chairman at NP/1 has decided that these colleges be advised to charge fee for the session 2004-05 as approved by the Syndicate of Punjab University for the year 2003-04.  This is because the Fee Fixation Committee has not been fully constituted and one Chartered Accountant is yet to be appointed.  The fee would be finally fixed after receipt and verification of their income/expenditure statements. which may take some time.  The members are requested to see and approve the above proposal.  In view of urgency of the matter, we have already issued a letter to the two colleges on the above lines at CP/29.
