Subject:   Fee fixation for admission for the Private Medical Institutions under the Chandigarh Administration.

 

1.        Kindly refer to your letter No.HMC/G-53/839-40, dated 14/6/2004 and No.SDAC/2004/614, dated 15/6/2004, on the subject cited above.
 

2.       The Chandigarh Administration vide its letter No.GMC-TA-1(23)-2004/18213, dated 10th June, 2004, has authorised the Fee Fixation Committee constituted for Punjab State to fix and approve the fee structure of private medical institutes in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
 

3.       We have considered the request of these two institutions. The Fee Fixation Committee is yet to meet and approve the fee structure of these two private institutions. This will be done after receipt of income/expenditure statements from these two institutions and audits and verification of their accounts by the Chartered Accountant. This exercise is going to take some time and accordingly you are directed:

(a)    To charge tuition fee for the session 2004-2005 as approved by the Syndicate of Punjab University for the year 2003-2004;

(b)    An undertaking be obtained from the students that they will pay the higher tuition fee fixed by the Fee Fixation Committee.

4.      The Admissions may kindly be made as per fee indicated above. It is again made clear that the fee as mentioned above is purely provisional and is liable to be adjusted as and when final fee structure is approved by Fee Fixation Committee.
