Subject:-   Meeting of Fee Fixation Committee – 1/7/2004.

            The Government vide its notification dated 17/6/2004 for admissions to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHS courses (PMET 2004) has provided a provisional fee structure.  It has been mentioned that the medical institutions will make admissions as per that fee structure and the fee would be finally adjusted after approval from the Fee Fixation Committee.  It was brought to the notice of the Committee that some of the medical institutions have provided different provisional fee structure in the prospectus issued by them creating confusion.

          The issue was considered by the Fee Fixation committee and it was felt that the Fee Fixation Committee itself should fix some provisional fee structure in order to remove all doubts and clear confusion among the students and the institutions.

          The Fee Fixation Committee accordingly decided:-
(i)       That the medical institutions would charge the provisional fee as stipulated in the government notification at the time of admissions.

(ii)      The institutions will take an affidavit from the students at the time of admissions that they undertake to pay the fee as finally determined by the Fee Fixation Committee constituted under the directions of the Supreme Court.

It was decided that these directions be issued to all the institutes in the State.
